Night Life
It's orientation week in Wellington and all the students are back at Uni. Thus making the night life the scene to be apart of. Tonight is my first night staying in since we have all arrived. The night life here takes a lot more energy then back in the States. The bars and clubs here stay open until 6 AM. The earliest I have made it home since being here is 3 AM.
The bars are so much fun, but the feel is so different then in the States. It is very strange having eighteen year olds all around you and the possibility of sixteen year olds with fakes dancing right next to you. However everyone out is so nice and out to have a good time. Unlike the U.S. everyone is just out to meet others and have fun, I have never once seen people arguing or fighting like you always do at home.
The place to be in town is Courtney Place, and every night thus far we have found our selves there. We tend to migrate to the same four bars each night, but then again so does much of the city. The clubs all play music from the U.S. and the Kiwis know every word to every one of our songs.
